ZakTheFallenI think the main purpose of Sandbox Mode would be more open access to the game features, without having to go through tutorials and progressing a story to unlock new things and locations. Certain resort features can still be unavailable in the earlier locations, simply because there isn't enough room for them. Anything not tied to the story should still be there, like scavenging for resources, leveling up the resorts to unlock new things in the shop. The shark npc can still hand out goals to reach, but like in story mode he's mostly optional. Because there is no story mode, all the npc staff for the resort can be available from the start, along with removing the road barriers that stop early access to the other map locations.

UnfixableIt could be a separate gamemode from the storymode. The player would be given a empty canvas to play around with. The player is given a choice between different resort layouts (different from the story ones). From there, they build their resort the way they want while meeting the necessary requirements needed to make the resort fully functional. Similar to the story, the player will be tasked to complete different objectives, and in doing so they get access to more furniture options. Just a concept idea.

mododoI'd like to see even just a sandbox mode to find my own "optimal" layout for every location. Crafting/Buying stuff and creating rooms is too expensive when you're trying out new layouts

Jackdaw_SummerI loved the main game but have sadly finished it now. With a sandbox mode I could easily see myself putting 100+ hours into more gameplay.
